Come hang with me in my vintage + hand-made nostalgic clothing shop where you will pick from various vintage and modern fabrics, trimmings and patches to create your own one of a kind up-cycled denim jacket or flannel shirt. Please bring your own denim jacket or flannel shirt that you want to up-cycle. There will be a wide variety of fabrics and patches to choose from... after you are done picking your add ons I will sew them for you for pick up or shipping. Turn around time is up to 2 weeks depending how large your party is.

Guests will arrive at our mooring location along old west lake drive in montauk where we will wade out to a skiff then take a short ride over to the snorkeling locations. Guests will receive a masks to forage oysters themselves! Keep up to two dozen to bring home and eat as many as you can on the boat for an hour with your friends, families or enjoy the experience alone with a guide.

The adventure ride continues east past Ditch Plains surfers and the Deep Hollow Ranch horse stables as we enter Camp Hero State Park. Encompassing 415 acres of diverse landscape including a vast network of both paved and off-road bike paths, a long expanse of towering oceanfront cliffs, and a historic military installation. This is our eBike playground on the way to our ultimate half-way destination: the Montauk Lighthouse. This thoroughly enjoyable return ride includes a welcome stop for coffee or cool refreshments in downtown Montauk, then we’re back to our original starting point after experiencing 20+ awesome miles of the best eBike riding on Long Island.

We will meet at 15 Dennison St. Newport RI in the heart of the Yachting Village between Thames and Spring Streets. I will provide you with paper (handmade and decorated) and instructions for making a pair of Origami Paper Earrings. I will be available throughout the class to guide folding and help you get through the tricky bits. After an hour or two together, working, getting frustrated, laughing, starting over or maybe finishing in a snap you will leave with a pair of handmade earrings and a better understanding and appreciation of yourself and your friends. You will learn about what you like in color and form and what you like or don't like about working with your hands. Everyone leaves with earrings - if you struggle - I will help you complete a beautiful pair.

The route begins at the Memorial Blvd entrance, passes along winding seaside paths, stone walls, and cobblestone stairways, lush with greenery and overlooking the sea. *Edit: A section of the Newport Cliff Walk is closed for renovations this season. Guests can select between the "Beach" section (a loop from Easton's Beach and back, high traffic area in summer months, great for couples) or the "Field" section (low traffic area, easier parking, shorter route, best for families) when choosing their Experience. At the end of the photo tour, guests will receive an online gallery of 50+ lightly editing digital photographs.

Let’s have some fun and FIND SOME SEAGLASS. There is much to admire, collect and discover here on the shores in Newport RI and the surrounding towns! On the day of our beachcombing adventure, we meet-up at a local park to communicate about driving and parking. From the park, we’ll drive a short distance to the shore. Once situated at our locale, - I’ll provide a brief history and overview of the areas we’ll search. - share techniques and valuable tips for where, and how, to look. - offer information/stories about the items we find. Once we are established, you may choose to go off a bit on your own, OR you can hang with me and we’ll go it together! (two sets of eyes are better than one, and I am pleased to share what I find on these guided ‘Combing trips.) A number of variables effect conditions, and factor into what we find. So, while I can make no guarantees about what you will find, I will say…I have NEVER left the beach dissatisfied with what I hold in my palm + pockets. As we wrap up, you'll have the opportunity to show your favorite finds with others in the group and take some pictures. I can’t wait to see what you find! Cheers, Kimberly

I will explain the history of the art of scrimshaw from early whaling to modern. I explain the materials used and the laws governing the materials. Guests will be shown examples of all materials such as whale teeth and woolly mammoth ivory as well as several 19c original sailor made artifacts such as a whalebone fid, clothes pin and sailmakers seam rubber. We then will take a studio tour of my work space where I will show guests how to prepare materials for engraving. We will sand and polish an antique piano key ivory so it is ready to engrave. Afterwards I will demonstrate the art of engraving step by step before instructing guests how to make their own piece of scrimshaw. You will leave with a finished piece along with a small bag of ancient mammoth ivory, a scribe and ink to continue creating scrimshaw at home.

Once we have arrived at the parking area, we will take a short walk on a cobble-lined beach to one of Rhode Island's prime fossil hunting areas. I will provide an overview of the geological history of the area, show a few examples of the fossils that may be discovered, and go over basic techniques for fossil hunting. Guests will have a little over an hour to hunt for fossils. I will be right there with you, lending a helping hand and helping you identify any potential fossil finds! Other things to note Walking to the site may involve walking on slippery rocks. Fossil hunting is a physical process, so please make sure you are capable of using a hammer and lifting rocks. I am more than happy to help you! Finally, fossil hunting is fickle... there are no guarantees on what you may find on any day.

During this cycling tour my guests will be able to enjoy some of Newport's most beautiful views, good amount of excercising and a little bit of Newport's history and culture, all in a fun environment with a small group of bike enthusiasts! Bikes, helmets and refreshments will be provided. Tour datails : - Meet at 16 Old Fort Rd to get bikes and helmets and for introductions. - Ride bikes through a few of Newport's lesser known beautiful streets to King Park with a wonderful view on the Newport Bridge. We will take a break to enjoy the views and talk a little bit about Newpor harbor, sailing events etc. -Ride bikes to and around Fort Adams State Park. We will have a break by the Eisenhower House for a snack. - Ride through a little known, beautiful marsh area to the famous Ocean Drive. - Ride by Bellevue Avenue with views of Newport's most notable Mansions. - A small detour around Salve Regina University campus with its beautiful streets and buildings. This area is little known by toursists and extremely peaceful in the summer. - Return to the meet up location through Webster Avenue. The tour will take approximately 2h.
