We will meet at our Gem and mineral shop and then caravan to the mine. You will drive your own vehicle and follow me. The creek is located very close to the entrance of the mine. We are very lucky to have yearround water in our spring-fed creek for gold panning. We supply all the tools and pans and you get to keep all the gold you find! My goal is to teach you how to pan so you can go off and be able to find gold anywhere. I am highly experienced and can save you a lot of time and wasted money. I’m always happy to answer questions about equipment and other details of gold prospecting. After the two hour trip you will be a real prospector! I always tell people that I wish I was able to learn how to pan for gold on a real gold mine and gold country! It’s so hard for me to explain but look at the pictures and look at the people having fun. That’s what it’s all about! I love meeting new people and will tell you all about my story on the trip.

Visit animal enclosures armed with carrots & treats as the animals come and visit. The horse, donkey & goats love carrots & grapes, the pigs will eat just about anything. See if you can get them to roll over when their belly is scratched! Inside the chicken enclosure baby chicks can be held if mommy hen permits. Mother hens with chicks or sitting on eggs are sometimes visible. A colony of rabbits enjoy the garden while tending to their babies. ​Treats, like fresh lettuce can be offered as the eager hens gather around looking for their favorite snacks. ​Just sitting back and watching the animals feed, swim and engage with each other is fascinating. Safety guidelines must be respected so that the experience is safe for the animals and the visitors. At any time of year there are many rescued animals that live here harmoniously. ​Things are always changing with the seasons too. The raised bed gardens provide vegetables, herbs and flowers and are used to feed the household and also the animals. Large compost piles give us beautiful black rich compost each spring to produce our abundant garden. The circle of life is illustrated in a rich tapestry at the Kitty Hotel, a modest homestead. 100% of your fee goes toward the upkeep and care of the animals.
