Create new group sounds and songs from favorite memories
Bring your instrument, your voice, or just your body. No matter your flavor of involvement, by the end of this session, you'll know without a doubt that everyone has some kind of music inside of them. Whether you like to just tap your toes, dance, sing or play an instrument, this is an experience in sharing and creation. Guided by formally trained music and movement educator, composer and theorist Joy Ellsworth, this gathering will share examples of our favorite genres and our favorite ways of enjoying those genres. Then we'll find fun features of everyone's music faves and attempt to put our own unique sounds together. Time spent in this circle promises to be a special expression of individual and group identity, from silly to serious, and sure to be a journey in sound and dance that you'll never forget.
Immerse yourself in nature's cradle on top of More Mountain
Connect with yourself and the world in ways only a forest can inspire.
Forest therapy sessions begin with an orientation about the land where you are gathered and some safety factors that are good to know while meandering around a forested hillside. From sturdy ground, guests then establish a sensory focus on the place where they are. The guided explorations that come next typically bring peace and direction to the people experiencing forest therapy. An ending ceremonial tea sourced from the land completes the experience and sends guests into the world with new, personalized guiding perspective delivered by the forest.
My Eureka Springs River Table Art Experience
We have designed an unique 2-day experience to guide each student through creating an epoxy resin river table. On the first day, you will start with selecting and preparing the wood for your table. Then, you will make your color selections for the river portion of your table from the many colors and highlites we have available to choose from. This includes specific color themes, sparkles and glow in the dark! Once you have made your color selections and mixed the resin, let your imagination free as you pour your resin river. Plan on spending 2-3 hours each day. The second day, we will help show you how to clean your tabletop and prepare it for the flood coat of epoxy resin. While you work the flood coat, you will construct the legs for your table. Your tables epoxy resin will be cured enough to pick up your table 24 hours after the second class completes. Please be aware that the epoxy resin can take up to 4 weeks to completely cure. Please do not place anything on top of your table until it has completely cured.
Create a memory in Clay
Arriving at Fire Om Earth you will be give a tour of our working studio where you can see the variety of items that we make. We will cover our options offered as well as how your piece will be finished once glazed. If you have a connection to Nature, we will take a hike on one of the many short trails, on the 15 acre Botanical Sanctuary, where you can collect items in nature to texture your piece with.
No experience is needed to accomplish a treasured work in clay.
Great for team building and groups.
The studio is uniquely situated in a old root cellar which was dug out into the natural rock, so although the space has a cave like feel it also has a walk out with lots of windows. You are connected to the natural surroundings of the Ozark Mountains while you create in our studio.
You may decide to hand craft a bowl, platter, mug or sculpture, you will also be able to choose to make a clay Whistle Flute or Ocarina.
Most classes run a period of 3 hours. A perfect amount of time for you to make your piece and get lost in the creative world.
Other things to note
Wear comfortable clothing, aprons are provided and clay is not a concern for your safety of your clothing, ie, will not stain etc. Short nails are preferred but not essential, jewelry should be removed before working in clay.
Make and Take Glass Fused Coral Bowl in Eureka Springs
Emerse yourslef in the artistic side of Eureka Spring in an upbeat, modern environment. Start your creative journey exploring Visionary Art Studio with Gallery shows that rotate quarterly for a unique experience each season.
After a quick tour of the gallery we will make our way into the glass studio. Here we will go over some basics of glass fusing like how to stay safe and how to use the glass tools. Now its time to start creating! Let your creative juices flow as you pick from all the colors of the rainbow to start creating your own coral glass bowl. After you lay out all the glass pieces and glue them together your piece will then be fired in the kiln 2 times, once to fully fuse it, then a second time to slump it into a bowl. This process can take up to 1 month so we can easily ship your bowl to you if needed for an additional fee.
Ring make-and-take with local artist
We'll get comfortable in our studio barn/workshop area, where you'll grab a glass of wine, a local craft beer, or glass of fresh spring water from our bar before we get started. After a brief tour of our little urban farm, I'll do a quick demonstration to show you the techniques and procedures for making several different styles of rings. Then you'll get busy working hands-on with different tools and materials to create your own custom, unique ring exactly to your liking. I can provide as much support as necessary to help you to feel comfortable with the process and to create your desired outcome. We'll seal/finish your ring if necessary and you'll take it home with you at the end of the session.
Other things to note
We have free-range chickens and a free-range cat. All are friendly. :) If you aren't seeing the date or time you'd like available on the calendar, feel free to send me a message and we'll try to work something out if possible!
Paca Picnic!
Pack a Picnic! We'll meet you at the gate! Upon entering you will most likely be greeted by our female alpacas who are typically very curious about a new car arriving. We'll begin our tour by hand feeding these beauties, then move on to our small animal paddock where you will meet our sheep and goats. You will be able to hand feed them through the fence as they are a bit pushy. We’ll meet our male alpacas last, give them some yummy treats then wrap up our tour. You’re welcome to walk the property and enjoy the peace & quiet and have your own picnic. We have tables and chairs for you to use.
This will be a mostly informal tour, if there is anything on the property you would like to see more of just let us know.
