Teaching better study habits so my students can get better grades- and along the way, providing all the encouragement they need to be successful in school. I am a private tutor and test prep specialist, with hundreds of hours of experience helping students at levels from high school all the way up to university sciences. Subjects I practice and prep for with my students year round include: Math Algebra I (incl. Regents prep) Algebra II (incl. Regents prep) Geometry (incl. Regents prep) Calculus (incl. AP prep) Statistics (incl. AP prep) Chemistry (incl. Regents and AP prep) Physics (incl. Regents and AP prep). In addition, I cover most standardized tests like the ACT and SAT, plus many pre-professional exams with a science, math and logic focus like the MCAT, LSAT, DAT, TASC. The reason I've had success with helping students is because I know very well what it is to be overwhelmed and discouraged with massive science courses. Step by step, side by side you and I will be doing practice problems while taking EVERY necessary detour to get you the background skills and knowledge you may be missing. I also know what it's like to be at a good level academically, but to be enough of a perfectionist to need to be at the next level with my grades. I have a proven record of being able to get my students up to where they need to be. I travel to most of my students, and am willing to meet for help sessions anywhere they are comfortable.
