Res-Q-Me Animal Rescue
meonmap Res-Q-Me Animal Rescue Non Profit Animal Rescue located in Las Vegas, NV. Our volunteers are dedicated to eliminating kill shelters and providing homes for abandoned and abused animals. We are currently in need of Foster Parents! Fosters are the key component to animal rescue. Essentially, the obligation of a foster parent is to open their homes to a temporary pet and shower them with love and affection while the rescue works to find an adopter. This allows the animal to decompress in a loving temporary home while awaiting the perfect adopter. Rescues work closely with the local shelters so we can get these animals out of a kennel and into a safe place. This allows them to have far more exposure than they do in a shelter and it allows them to be their true selves. Often, these animals are scared and timid in a shelter but become the happiest and sweetest angels once they feel safe. The process goes as so: 1. Rescue puts in a request for a particular dog. Usually we request animals that are on the euthanasia list. 2. The shelter grants our request and signs the dog over to us stating that we can never return the animal to a pound and that we are liable for any medical costs, boarding, etc. 3. We pick the animal up and take them to their foster home. 4. Foster parents treat the animal as if they were their own pet. They are expected to attend adoption events, attend meet and greets with future adopters, and notify the rescue of any medical issues immediately. If you are unable to attend then it is expected that you’d be open to allowing a volunteer or member of the rescue pickup the animal and attend the event in your place. 5. We find a perfect adopter and we place that animal in their Furever home. It’s never easy to say goodbye to your foster pet. Though difficult, you'll always know that you played a key part in their journey of finding the perfect home. If you'd like to help us save lives please feel free to call, text, or email us!
