Senior Surround Care (SSC) has all the comforts of home and has a care team ready for a close-knit relationship with the residents and families we serve. We offer skilled care with the most natural, dignifying and compassionate touch and we are based in the community! Senior Surround Care offers service following a concentric care system with the resident at the core. Surrounding the resident are a sufficient number of caregivers (2+ a visiting RN) and a community full of health and social services, which SSC Staff will assist with obtaining access to these services. For assisted living, the choice of community is an ideal preference. A naturalistic and home-like flow, even during challenging times, lightens the pressures of needing assistance. Eating with a natural number of peers at the table and passing few when you come and go in your place of residence is important to many. What is important to you is important to us! As we offer a (2 to 5) caregiver- to- resident ratio, necessary care along with the smallest requests are quickly fulfilled. Observing changes in health or mood and being available for residents who are at risk for falling is highly necessary and available through our program. Now is the time for ease of mind. Without doubt, the leader of our team is the resident and his/her needs. However, as the owner and director of this program, I am proud of my 15 year career in healthcare. In 1997 I began at the Caroline Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Denton Maryland. Since then I have grown in experience- providing care at more nursing facilities, hospitals and homes. Currently, I hold active licenses as a GCNA (certified nursing assistant w/geriatrics) and CMT (certified medication technician). I have a collection of assisted living-specific certificates from various trainings and my program is licensed by the State of Maryland (Office of Healthcare Quality). Most recently, I delighted in my employment as a Care Manager at The William Hill Gardens of Easton Maryland. Peripherally, I volunteer my time as a board member for Caroline County Habitat for Humanity and motivational speaker for local organizations such as the Department of Social Services.
